The Parish Festival is a once a year event, taking place in mid to late September, where all of the parish is invited to come together for a weekend of fun, food, music, games, and great visiting with your fellow parishioners. Saturday is our Adults' Night were we have a delicious meal as we visit with friends and then listen and/or dance to some great music. On Sunday, we have our Family Day that includes 3 choices of international foods for lunch, snow cones, music, games, Silent Auction, and so much more. This weekend is a great time for all!!
As with any great event, we need lots of helpers to make it happen. You can volunteer to be on the Planning Committee, which meets once a month, starting in February. Or you can volunteer for any number of other jobs that take place weeks before the event like calling for dessert donations, collecting for and putting together Silent Auction baskets, and/or planning the games. Or you can choose to work the weekend of the event by helping to set up and/or clean up, selling tickets, collecting trash, keeping the water coolers full, etc.
This weekend is a wonderful time to visit with your friends and also meet new parishioners. Volunteering to help also gives you a great opportunity to meet new friends as well.
